There are some films that are had to put into a genre as even tho they really might be listed as being one thing they have elements of something else. Such is the case with the film that i'm going to be reviewing for you all today as even tho this film is listed as being a comedy it's also really dark and kind of horrific so much so that it makes you wonder if this film is meant to be something like a comedy drama or a comedy horror film and so then join me as I review the film that has all of the female characters named Super for some strange reason with the film in question being called simply just "Supervixens" enjoy.
The plot of this film is when he is framed for the murder of his abusive ex-girlfriend a man named Clint goes on the run through the desert trying to outrun the policeman that originally framed him in the first place. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot thats actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot thats actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films plot being one that does take itself far two seriously to be a comedy as given what type of film that this is then the plot of the film should have been alot more lighter in tone but at the same time in saying this given that the film is essentially a sequel to Vixen which was also darker in tone it does make sense this this films plot be just as dark as that films plot was as well but tho at the same time this films plot is so serious that it stops it from being fun and say what you will about Beneath The Valley Of The Ultra Vixens but the one thing that can't be said about that film is the fact that it's plot is fun as that film knew what it wanted to to be and wasn't afraid to be exactly that were as here with this film even tho this films plot is alot more stronger then the plot to Ultra Vixens was it's also alot less fun to watch when if anything the plot of this film should have been alot of fun to watch as the title alone does make you think that your going to be watching a pretty crazy and insane film and yet the plot is oddly dark when it really didn't need to be with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Starring in this film is Charles Pitts as Clint Ramsey , Shari Eubank as SuperAngel and SuperVixen and Charles Napier as Harry Sledge. Also starring in this film is Uschi Digard as SuperSoul and The Telephone Operator , Henry Rowland as Martin Bormann , Christy Hartburg as SuperLorna , Colleen Brennan as SuperCherry , John LaZar as Cal MacKinney , Stuart Lancaster as Lute , Deborah McGuire as SuperEula , Glenn Dixon as Luther and Haji as SuperHaji.
Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting thats actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting thats actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With the films acting being about as good as you'd expect it to be in a film like this as while the films actors do indeed do a passable job in this film it's clear as day that they were never ever going to win any kind of acting awards for this film and to the films credit it does kind of know that and therefor the actors are allowed to turn in these really bizarre and odd performances that would seem out of place in any other film but here oddly work with the films best actor being Charles Napier as Harry Sledge as it does feel like that he's the only one that's actually trying to turn in a good performance as while he is playing the villain of the piece his scenes are some the most well acted in the whole entire film mostly due to the fact that not alot of the films other actors feel like that there trying to turn in a good performance where as Charles does and that is something that does show through in the final cut of the film as he does get across just how threatening that Harry Sledge can be just with a look nine times out of ten where as actors like Charles Pitts who while he is good in the film just can't quite hold his own when acting opposite Charles Napier with the acting that's in this very film not really being helped by the fact that the script for this film is just so bad as it gives none of this films actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there actual characters personalities are even meant to be like in the first place which is something that really does help to lower the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.
Character wise this film does fair about as well as you'd think that a rather adult film such as this one would do. As much like with Beneath The Valley Of The Ultra Vixens none of this films characters are that memorable or even that well written for tat for that matter as none of them have much in the way of a personality which is something that does make alot of sense as much like with that film this film does also kind of take on a sketch show format approach to it's story with the character of Clint being the only thing that links all of the characters together with him by default coming across as being the films best written which even then it's kore due to the fact that we get to spend more time with him as a character and not due to the due to the fact that he's a well written character with it being made painfully clear that the reason why all of the girls were chosen for this film is because of the fact that there all stunning and that's really it even Harry doesn't get much in the way of a personality outside of the fact that he's a corrupt police officer who likes causing pain and misery to those around him and that's it as we don't get to find all that much about him as a character with the only thing that makes Clint stand out being the fact that he's the typical all American good boy who is just trying to do the best that he can do which even then that doesn't make him that well thought out of a character as the film doesn't bother to take the time to make any of this films characters feel unique as they all feel like the kind of characters that you would expect to find in the first draft of a script and not something that you'd want to see in the films final draft.
Much like Ultra Vixens this film does feature a character from the previous film in this trilogy in his case its the character of Tom. However unlike Ultra Vixens where having the characters or SuperSoul and Lute creates a continuity issue as in this film he very clearly doesn't have a son and there farm looks alot more different then what it did in Ultra Vixens but given that the makers of this film mostly likely didn't intended on making these films a trilogy of films in the first place this is something that you could excuse with the one thing that you really can't excuse being the fact that this film gives us a different version of the world that we got in Ultra Vixens as there the world was alot more campy and alot more colorful which was something that made the campy elements of the film stand out all the more because of it and yet here in this film the world is alot more realistic which is fine as this is meant to be a more serious film but at the same time tho it does make Ultra Vixens feel like the odd one out when all three films should look and feel the same with it being made clear as day that the makers of this film more then likely had any no idea that they were making a trilogy of films in the first place and where just setting out to make whatever film that they wanted to make which if that was the case then fair enough but if that wasn't the case then it makes you wonder why the makers of this film thought that it was OK to go with a more serious tone as they don't balance it out with the more campy moments that made Ultra Vixens stand out all the more as that film really fully embraced the fact that it was a film that should be viewed by anyone under the age eighteen and instead just focused on being a fun and campy film.
As has already been mentioned in this review this film is one that is far more serious then what Ultra Vixens was. With this film not only featuring blood but also featuring the character of Clint getting robbed and characters getting killed which is something that does prove that just because your an adult film doesn't mean that you have to be a straight forward comedy as sometimes you can be more serious with this being where the film is it's best as it gives you things that you might usually see in these types of films and yet this is also the films biggest fault as it prevents the film from being fun to watch when these are the types of films that you want to have to fun watching and that you want to laugh at and yet because of the fact that this film does take it far to seriously for it's good as when Harry arrives back in the film it stops being this fun filled film that the film had spent some time trying to be and while this is something that des make sense from a storyline point of view as he is meant to be the films big bad he disappears for a large portion of the film which means that when he does come back again it makes us the audience struggle to remember that he was even a character in the film in the first place this is despite the fact that he is a main character in film where as if the film had featured him alot more then what it does then would have more be alot of more of an active character in the plot s even just having him visiting locations just after Clint has left them would do alot to make him more of this oncoming storm and yet all the film does is have him just show up out of nowhere to start the films third act and that's really it.
For whatever reason the film has quite literally all of the female characters in the film have the word Super in their first names. This is something that does make the film stand out a lot as no films ever do that and yet at the same time it is also that us oddly in keeping the films more campy and over the top nature as it is something the film never really bothers to explain why this is the case and to be fair it doesn't really need to either as that would stop the film from being as campy as it is as it is something that does add a certain something to the film and it's that extra something that does make the film all the more fun to watch alot of the time as it does allow the film to go to those campy places that the film wouldn't be able to go and yet it's when the film does have those serious moments that does cause it clash with the films more campy moments as one moment your seeing Harry kill someone which is a dark moment but then you remember that the character in question has the first name Super and that makes that darker moment seem less dark which makes you wonder why the makers of this film thought that it was a good idea to have to tones that don't gel well with each other as the film would have been much more better of if it just chose one ton and went all the way with it as then the film could go to those more campy places and not be held back by he more serious moments or if it went the other way the film could be more serious and not be held back by the films more campy as those two tone just don't gel well with each other and while they can work well together in other films in this film they just don't as neither one of them allows the other to be as good as they possibly could be as neither ton has enough going for it in this film.
Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty five minuets and twenty seven seconds. Which for this type of film is a tad bit on the long side even more so when you take into account the fact that the film barely focuses on it's plot with the film not really having the right amount of plot there to cover that amount of running time in the first place as the film at best has just about the right amount of running time to cover at best forty five minuets with the rest of the film being spent on what can best be described as filler scenes as they ass nothing to the overall plot of the film with this film not even using it's running time all that wisely in the first place as the film doesn't take the time to fully develop it's plot with the film being more interested in letting us know that the film has alot of very beautiful women as some of it's actors then it is giving us a more well wounded plot and yet if the film did take the time to fully develop its plot then it would have ended up being a lot more stronger then what it already with the same thing also being true for the films characters as the film doesn't fully develop any of it's characters when it quite clearly has the running time to do and yet the film doesn't use any of that extra running time or those pointless scenes to make the character be more fully rounded as characters which just makes alot of this film feel pointless as nothing really happens until the third act of the film anyway when the film cold have spent alot of its time in developing it's characters and plot and yet for one reason or another the makers of this film chose not to any of that which makes those scenes be all the more pointless but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.
So now then as this is a comedy that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With the film not really being sure what it wants to be as one moment its drama and then in the very same scene it acts over the top like you would expect in a comedy which is something that does make it hard to judge on what kind of film that this is meant to be in the first place as the film does put alot more effort on being a drama then it does in being comedy this is despite the fact that the film has more comedic moments in it then it does dramatic moments with the films dramatic moments working all the more then the films more comedic moments do with the best joke in the whole film not even being a joke as it's a running gag where all of the films side villains and Harry for that matter all have something bad happen to them just after they've been cruel to Clint which is a really funny running gag but it's also really the only joke that the film has outside of the fact that all of the female characters are called Super which is a funny joke in it's own right and one that's made funnier when you take into account that the film never explains why that's the case which is something that could be seen as being a good joke but for one reason or another the film puts alot more focus on being a drama then it does in being the comedy that it was meant to be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.
Overall out of this and Ultra Vixens this film is the better made film as there is more of an effort to make the film good but it's Beneath The Valley Of The Ultra Vixens that's the more fun film to watch as that film knows exactly what kind of film that it is where as this film feel ashamed of being exactly that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad thigs that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images really from this very film being the really great Google Images this is really because of the fact that really all of the images that I really indeed got and really used from Google Images are all really high quality really with all of the images that really are all and of course really currently up and on the really great and the really solid Google Images really are all being really fairly high in quality and as well as them all really being fairly high in definition.
