Film fans i'm always on the look out for alot more obscure films to watch and review and well I think i've found a film that is pretty freaking obscure. Heck every little thing about this film just screams obscure from the fact that the main actress that's in this film starred in only two possibly three films and has had her scenes cut from another film and so join me as I review the 1974 film that is so freaking obscure that it's actually unreal how obscure this film with the film itself being called simply "Deadly Weapons" enjoy.
Now here is where I would normally tell you what the plot of the film is and as well as give you my opinion on the plot of the film as a whole. However this film has no plot and by that I mean that there is some resemblance of a plot but this film picks up and drops of it's plot so many times that it's unreal and as such the plot of this film might as well not even be there which is a very bad thing because all films and all media should always have a plot.
Starring in this film is Zsa Zsa aka Chesty Morgan as Crystal , Harry Reemes as Tony and Greg Reynolds as Larry , Saul Meth as Nick and as A Talent agent , Phillip Stahl as Crystal's Father , Mitchell Fredericks as Captain Hook , Denise Purcell as Eve and John McMohon as an unknown character. Just like with alot of obscure films the makers of this film chose to cast unknown actors in the film and it really does show in the overall quality of the acting but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.
In terms of what I thought about the acting that's featured / presented to us in this film , to say that the acting that's featured / resented to us in this film is bad would be a huge freaking understatement since the acting in this film is so freaking bad. Like I honestly cannot think of one single good performer / actor in this film because every actor just gives a really wooden performance and it hurts the film very freaking badly.
This film was produced and directed by exploitation film legend Doris Wishman who mostly directed exploitation films. To say that she has a different approach to making an exploitation film then say Russ Meyer would be a huge understatement because even tho the two film makers work within the same genre of film Doris mainly focused on trying to tell a good story instead of making her female stars seem like goddesses which only works if you have a decent story to tell which sadly is one of the many things that this film is very sadly lacking but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.
Despite having a plot that makes the film look pretty silly , an actress with a pretty silly stage name and a barebones plot that is honestly pretty freaking silly this film is oddly not a comedy. Which is a shame because everything about this film would be perfect an a s*x comedy film and heck if this was a s*x comedy film then i'd be alot more forgiving on the film because the things that I don't like about the film would then seem pretty tongue in cheek.
I get that Doris Wishman wanted to make this a serious film but all of that seriousness goes out of the window when you hire an actress called Chesty Morgan. The second that Chesty Morgan was hired the film should have been turned into a comedy because nobody / no one is going to take the film seriously at that point even more so when you have not one but two scenes where our main female character kills two guys by smothering them to death with her larges breasts / large boobs.
The worst thing about this film is also worst crime / sin that this film commits and that's the fact that this film is boring / incredibly boring. No matter what kind of film your making you don't want your film to be boring and that's sadly what this film is and heck just to give you an idea of how boring this film I started writing this review when this film was still playing because I was that bored with the film and I just wanted the / this film to end.
Luckily for me tho this film doesn't have a long running time because this film has a total running time of only one hour and fifteen minuets and twenty eight seconds. Which is a really shirt running time for this film since you very easily could have made this film at least one hour and forty five minuets long and heck it might have actually helped the films plot / story if you did make this film a little big longer since then you'd be able to tell the plot of this film at a more natural pace which would allow the plot points in this film to come more naturally instead of feeling forced and rushed like they are with the one hour and fifteen minuets and twenty eight second that this film does actually have.
Try as I might here boys and girls I really cannot work out what sub-genre of film that this film is meant be since nothing is scary in the film so it's not a horror film or a thriller film and there's no mystery to solve so it's not a mystery. This film really does have no other genre film other then being in the exploitation genre which simply isn't enough because you very easily could have made this film fit into either one of the categories / genres that I mentioned (with both thriller and crime being the listed genres on IMDB) and it's clear as day that very little effort was put into this films script or / and very little effort was put into making this film actually good or even watchable for that matter but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways
Overall do I really need to say it because I think it's kind of obvious at this point but yeah I really did hate this film. Which is a shame because if this was a s*x comedy then this film could have worked but as it is it just simply doesn't work and now then boys and girls since i've talked about both of the good things that are in this film and as well as the many bad things that are featured / presented to us in this very film in this very review this film gets 1.5 out of 10 from me.

With my preferred website to use for the images that I used in this review being Google Images since even tho Wikipedia had a shockingly high amount of high quality images from this film Google Images had more of a variety of images.
